A Hat Trick at Allerton Castle: Lauren & Alex’s Award-Winning Moments
I’ve got some fantastic news to share again; this month has been another whirlwind of success, with not one, not two, but three award-winning images from the same wedding! Lauren and Alex’s big day at Allerton Castle was nothing short of magical, and I’m beyond thrilled that these moments have been recognized.
Being a recommended photographer for Allerton Castle is a privilege, and having one of my sample wedding albums displayed there is a real honour. This venue is a dream to shoot in; with its stunning architecture and beautiful lighting, capturing weddings here is a true joy.
First, we have Alex gearing up for a game of snooker with his groomsmen in the castle’s billiard room. This shot is all about the anticipation and camaraderie among the groomsmen. There’s something timeless and relaxed about this pre-ceremony moment, and I’m glad the judges felt the connection, too.
Next, we captured Lauren making her grand entrance down the castle’s breathtaking staircase to the ceremony. This shot, taken from behind, showcases the stunning detail of her wedding dress against the grandeur of the stairs, with the guests caught in that magical moment of turning to see her for the first time. It’s a beautiful blend of anticipation and awe; capturing it from this angle just added to the allure.
Lastly, the bride and groom are on the same staircase, but this time, we’re seeing it from the opposite angle, with both embracing the golden light that fills the venue. The way the light plays off the dark wood and highlights their embrace adds a layer of warmth and intimacy to the grand setting. It’s one of those shots that feels like everything in the universe aligned just right to capture the essence of their love.
Winning awards for these images is incredibly rewarding, but the real joy comes from knowing Lauren and Alex have these moments to cherish for a lifetime. Their trust in me to capture the essence of their day at such a remarkable venue makes it all the more special.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to shoot at Allerton Castle and for Lauren and Alex for letting me be a part of their beautiful day. These awards are a lovely nod to the wonderful moments we captured together, and I’m inspired to keep creating images that capture the magic of love and celebration.
