York Wedding Photography

As a North Yorkshire wedding photographer, I’ve come to know this city like the back of my hand. And trust me when I say its charm is undeniable and irresistible.

From its rich history dating back to the ancient Romans and Vikings to its quaint medieval streets, York is a city that has seen it all and stood the test of time. As you walk down the Shambles, one of the best-preserved medieval streets in the world, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. The city’s history creates an incredible atmosphere impossible to replicate anywhere else.

But it’s not just about the history. York’s unique charm comes from the perfect blend of old and new. Alongside its historic buildings, you’ll find vibrant cafes, fantastic restaurants, and boutique shops that add a modern twist to this special city.

As for picturesque locations, they’re in abundance here. The iconic York Minster, the beautifully manicured Museum Gardens, the serene River Ouse, and not to forget, the stunning countryside surrounding the city. All these spots provide incredible backdrops for wedding photographs you’ll cherish forever.

As your York wedding photographer, I can’t wait to capture your magical moments in these remarkable settings. I am confident that the charm and beauty of York will make your wedding an event to remember.

Hi, I’m Dale Turner

Since starting my wedding photography business in 2008, I've had the privilege of capturing over 700 weddings, mainly across the Yorkshire region but also covering most of the UK and even locations throughout Europe. Though following a familiar script, each wedding unfolds with its own unique magic, which keeps me excited before each event.

Welcome to York, North Yorkshire

A truly enchanting city where timeless history meets romantic charm, creating the perfect backdrop for your wedding day. Steeped in over 2,000 years of stories, York offers an irresistible blend of majestic landmarks and intimate settings: imagine exchanging vows within the breathtaking Gothic grandeur of York Minster, capturing golden-hour portraits along the ancient City Walls, or stealing quiet moments in the picturesque Museum Gardens.

From the winding medieval lanes of The Shambles to the serene riverside paths and nearby rolling Yorkshire countryside, every corner provides stunning, cinematic scenes that elevate your photographs into cherished heirlooms. Whether your celebration unfolds in a historic guildhall, a rustic barn, or a grand stately home, York wraps your love story in elegance, character, and unforgettable beauty — I'd be thrilled to capture it all for you.
