Sky-High Love: Liz & Martin at Waterton Park Hotel
I’m back with more exciting news from the world of wedding photography, and guess what? Liz & Martin’s wedding has done it again, clinching another award for a photograph taken at the Waterton Park Hotel. This one, like last months award-winner, comes from a bit of aerial magic, thanks to my drone.
When I planned this shot, I knew it had the potential to be something special. The idea was to blend the natural beauty of the location with the emotional beauty of Liz and Martin’s connection. And let me tell you, it was a bit of a balancing act – coordinating with the couple to get the pose just right, making sure the drone was in the perfect spot, and, of course, praying to the weather gods for clear skies!
The result? A photograph that’s not just a moment frozen in time but a piece of art that tells a story. The aerial view adds a unique perspective, turning the footbridge into a stage for Liz & Martin’s love, surrounded by the lake’s tranquil waters. It’s an image that catches your eye and pulls you into the moment with them.
Winning another award for this photograph feels incredible, not just as a nod to my work but as a celebration of Liz & Martin’s love and the beautiful day we were able to share. Their willingness to trust my creative vision and their patience in making it come to life was vital to capturing this award-winning shot.
This experience has been a fantastic journey in exploring the boundaries of wedding photography and how we can use technology to enhance the storytelling of a couple’s special day. It reaffirms my belief in the power of planning, creativity, and a bit of technological help to capture unforgettable moments.
