Hello everyone! This month has been a whirlwind of excitement, and I’m buzzing to share one of the reasons why. I bagged an award for a completely unplanned photo featuring the terrific Louise and Tom in a cornfield. Now, let me tell you, this was not something we had on the itinerary for the day!
I drove past this stunning cornfield on my way to the church service. It was one of those moments when, as a photographer, you just know. The field was basking in the sunlight, and I thought, “This would make an epic backdrop for a picture with Louise and Tom.” After the service, I floated the idea to them about stopping off for a few minutes on our way to the reception to snap a few shots. And boy, am I glad we did!
The result? An award-winning photograph that captures the essence of spontaneity and the beauty of embracing the unexpected. Louise and Tom, with their radiant smiles and the golden cornfield stretching out behind them, created a scene so natural and vibrant that it caught the judges’ eye.
