Celebrating My Sixth’ Image of the Day’

I’m back with more fantastic news: for the sixth time, one of my photographs has been selected as ‘Image of the Day’ by The Guild of Photographers! It’s always a wonderful feeling to receive this kind of recognition, and each time it happens, I’m reminded of the incredible journeys I get to be a part of thanks to my photography.

This latest accolade is for an image captured at Amy and James’s beautiful wedding earlier this year, which also won an award back in August. The photograph holds a special charm, featuring Amy in a captivating moment as seen through a gap in the vast wooden doors inside Carlton Towers. The scene is bathed in the soft, natural light streaming in from the venue’s grand windows, creating a magical and almost ethereal effect.

With its majestic architecture and atmospheric lighting, Carlton Towers provided the perfect backdrop for this shot. The composition of Amy, framed by the dark wood of the doors contrasted with the light illuminating her from behind, captures a moment of serene beauty and anticipation. It’s a testament to the power of using natural light in photography and how it can transform a simple moment into something truly extraordinary.

It’s a tremendous honour to be recognized by The Guild of Photographers for this image. Moments like these drive my passion for wedding photography—being able to capture the beauty, emotions, and unique stories of each couple’s special day. This photograph is a perfect example of the unexpected, fleeting moments that, when caught, become timeless memories.

I want to extend a huge thank you to Amy and James for allowing me to share in their special day and for providing the inspiration for this award-winning shot. And, of course, my heartfelt thanks to The Guild of Photographers for this recognition and their continued support of photographers and our work.

This sixth ‘Image of the Day’ selection is not just a personal achievement; it’s a celebration of love, light, and the beauty of capturing life’s most precious moments. It inspires me to keep looking for those unique perspectives, to play with light and shadows, and to continue telling visual stories.

Here’s to many more moments of beauty, captured and shared.

Until next time, keep looking for the light in the shadows and the stories waiting to be told.
