A Day of Love and Magic: Nichola & Bobby’s Unforgettable Wedding at The KP Club

I’ve witnessed all weather conditions at weddings, but Nichola and Bobby’s big day at The KP Club in Pocklington, North Yorkshire, was one for the books. The weather was, to put it mildly, unsettled. Before the ceremony, we experienced what could only be described as ‘Biblical Rain’. The downpour was so intense that the golf course flooded within minutes, leading to the cancellation of play for the remainder of the day.

Despite the challenging weather, the day unfolded beautifully, with some unexpected sunshine amidst the showers. These sunny intervals were a blessing, though the rain kept us on our toes, requiring us to dash out between showers to capture the couple’s portraits. Our perseverance paid off when we captured a spectacular image featuring a rainbow, turning the adverse weather conditions into a breathtaking backdrop that made all the effort worthwhile.

Bobby’s arrival in his truck was a standout moment, a detail we just had to incorporate into some of their photographs. It added a personal touch to their photos, reflecting their unique style and the day’s joyful spirit.

Adding to the day’s magic was Rich Reynolds, an extraordinary magician who entertained the guests with his captivating tricks. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Rich numerous times, and his performances never fail to leave me in awe. On this occasion, I captured a moment where he performed a trick with flames that truly wowed everyone present.

Nichola and Bobby’s wedding was a testament to the fact that, despite the unpredictable weather, love and joy can shine through. The day was filled with laughter, love, and moments of magic (both literal and metaphorical), reminding us that at the heart of every wedding is a story of two people coming together, undeterred by the elements. It was an honour to document their special day, capturing the memories they’ll cherish for years to come.
