Claire and Ben’s Magical Wedding Day at Howden Minster and The Peppered Pig

On a gloriously hot summer’s day, I had the immense pleasure of capturing Claire and Ben’s stunning wedding. The day unfolded at two exquisite locations in East Yorkshire: the historic Howden Minster for their heartfelt ceremony and the charming Peppered Pig in East Cowick for their joyous reception. Each moment of Claire and Ben’s special day was filled with love, laughter, and the kind of magic that only a summer wedding can bring.

Our journey began at Howden Minster, a breathtaking backdrop for such a significant occasion. With its awe-inspiring architecture and the spectacular ruins that lie quietly on its grounds, the Minster provided an enchanting setting that felt like we had entered another era. As Claire and Ben exchanged vows, the sun’s warmth streamed through the ancient windows, casting a heavenly glow over the couple and their guests. It was a moment of pure emotion and beauty that I felt honoured to capture.

Following the ceremony, we explored the grounds of the Minster, where the ruins beckoned us with their timeless charm. Claire and Ben, amidst the grandeur of these historic remnants, shared tender moments that reflected their deep bond and joy for the journey ahead. The contrast between their modern love and the ancient walls around us created a captivating narrative, one that I aimed to encapsulate in every photograph.

Afterwards, we made our way to The Peppered Pig in East Cowick for the reception. The venue, known for its rustic elegance and exquisite cuisine, was adorned with delicate decorations that complemented the day perfectly. As the guests were seated for the wedding breakfast, Claire, Ben and I ventured into a cornfield next to The Peppered Pig for a private photo session. The golden hues of the corn, under the summer sun, created a dreamlike setting. The laughter and love shared between Claire and Ben as we navigated through the field were infectious, and those moments amongst the corn are some of my favourite photographs from the day.

The reception was a beautiful celebration of Claire and Ben’s love, with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and dancing that lasted into the night. The warmth of the day lingered, both in the air and in the hearts of everyone present.

As I reflect on Claire and Ben’s wedding day, I am reminded of the power of love and the beauty it brings into the world. Their day was a testament to their journey together, marked by the majestic Howden Minster and the idyllic Peppered Pig under the radiant Yorkshire sun. Every moment was a treasure, and I am incredibly grateful to have been part of it, capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

To Claire and Ben, thank you for allowing me to document your first day as husband and wife. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness, love, and sunny days together.
